Brass Sockets

Porcelain & Brass lampholders

A brass lamp socket, made primarily from an alloy of copper and zinc, serves as both a support and connector for a light bulb. Due to its impressive conductivity, resistance to corrosion, and aesthetic appeal, it’s a preferred choice for many lighting fixtures.

Among the various types, the Screw Base, especially sizes E26/E27, is commonly found in household lamps, while the smaller E12 version is used for candelabra bulbs. Pin Base holders cater to bulbs with protruding pins, with GU10 and GU5.3 being popular variants.

Bayonet Base holders utilize a twist-lock mechanism, with B22 as a standard type. There are also specialized holders designed for the unique requirements of fluorescent tubes and the high temperatures of halogen bulbs.

When selecting a lamp holder, ensuring bulb and electrical compatibility is essential.
